3 featured strengths of inet's TMS in Gartner's MQ

For eight years in a row, Gartner listed inet in its Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems – an annual comparison of the best TMS providers worldwide.

The inet team is proud to be recognized for the eighth time in a row as a Challenger in the Magic Quadrant for Transportation Management Systems. Supply chain and IT leaders around the world trust Gartner’s magic quadrants as a valuable decision-making aid to get a deeper understanding of the market and evaluate the products that fit their needs best.

This year, Gartner analysts Bart De Muynck, Brock Johns and Oscar Sanchez Duran emphasized the accelerated growth rate of the TMS market, pushed by the transportation industry’s challenges and needs. In this context, the authors of the report pointed out the three key strengths of inet’s TMS playing an important role for supply chain leaders when choosing a TMS

First, inet’s “understanding and large expertise” in the automotive industry, with its complex outbound and inbound logistics operations. This competence is the result of 20 years of successful TMS implementations for more than 60 world leading companies in the industry, and the work of more than 200 experts.

Furthermore, the seamless integration of the 4flow planning software with the inet TMS provides significant added value, even more after the acquisition of the rights to the software. In Gartner words: “This deal ensures that inet-logistics will have access to a transportation planning optimizer”.

Last but not least, giving our customers access to a growing network of more than 70.000 carriers in Europe is a competitive advantage underlined by Gartner. “The international transportation industry will continue dealing with critical challenges like increasing shipping activities and a shortage of trucks, but we can offer our customers the right tools to achieve their goals, leveraging the synergies of the Alpega Group portfolio. We are proud to be recognized by Gartner, and we will keep listening to the market needs in order to innovate and move towards our vision of shaping transport collaboration”, summarizes inet CEO Oswald Werle.

In order to be considered a candidate for Gartner’s magic quadrants, software vendors should demonstrate their strengths on two dimensions: ability to execute and completeness of vision. The vendors are categorized as Leaders, Challengers, Niche Players, and Visionaries.
